PM Modi attends Bastille Day Parade with French President Macron in Paris

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived on the main stage after receiving a guard of honor on Friday as the spectacular Bastille Day celebrations began on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attends the parade as the guest of honor. For the big celebrations, the Champs-Élysées were decorated in the colors of the French flag, red, blue, and white.

Macron met Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his arrival at the event and the two leaders then shared an affectionate hug. In addition, he spoke with other dignitaries present.

With soldiers marching behind him in jeeps, horses, and bicycles, Macron arrived in an open vehicle. Additionally, he waved to the crowd that had gathered to see the French National Day parade.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed at the Bastille Day Parade in Paris by First Lady of France Brigitte Macron and Prime Minister of France Elisabeth Borne.

Wearing a traditional off-white kurta and pajamas with a navy blue jacket, Prime Minister Modi made his way to the Champs-Elysees.

The Bastille Day Parade includes a contingent from the Indian tri-services. In addition, three Rafale fighter jets from the Indian Air Force also participated in the Bastille Day flyover over the Champs Elysees in Paris.
